I am a psychologist and certified IFS therapist based in Mies, Switzerland, with a specialisation in giftedness and a deep commitment to working relationally.
My work is rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a model that honours every part of who you are, including the parts that have been in the dark for a long time. Whether you come as an individual, as a couple, or as a parent navigating a gifted child's world, my approach is always holistic, always grounded in compassion, and always led by your wellbeing.
I believe that however hard your path has been until now, you intuitively know the truth. The experience of the intense and sensitive resonates with you, connects you with yourself, leaving you feeling moved at a deeper level. My role is to walk that path with you.

"I believe that, no matter how hard your path has been until now, intuitively you know the truth. The experience of the intense and sensitive resonates with you, connects you with yourself, leaving you feeling moved at a deeper level."Raphaela Carrière
Working predominantly from an IFS (Internal Family Systems) framework, I offer individual therapy for adults and adolescents who are navigating complexity: perfectionism, underachievement, imposter syndrome, multi-potentiality, burnout, trauma, and the deep longing to live more authentically.
IFS helps us understand the many parts of ourselves: those that adapted to a world that didn't quite fit, and those that carry the wounds of earlier experiences. In coming out of the darkness, we can reclaim what was lost.
I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and I bring particular sensitivity to the ways early experiences shape how we move through the world today.
Relationships are one of the most complex, and most meaningful, territories we navigate. I work with couples, siblings, and parent-adult-child relationships using IFIO (Internal Family Systems Informed Couples and Relational Therapy) and the Developmental Model, in which I hold advanced-level training.
I am also part of the faculty for the IFIO Basic Training Programme, training therapists in this approach, which means the work I offer you is grounded at the deepest level of the model.
Relational work does not require a romantic partnership. Any relationship where two people want to understand each other more fully and heal what has grown difficult is welcome here.
Weekly or fortnightly sessions of 75 minutes (90 minutes by arrangement) at my practice in Mies or online.
I also offer couples intensives, tailored to each couple. An intensive supports our ongoing work, so I design it once I know you and what you are looking for. It might be a three-hour session, a full day, two full days, or a sequence of full days over time.
"Gifted, asynchronous learners are often misunderstood. Their excitement is viewed as excessive, their high energy as hyperactivity, their persistence as nagging, their questioning as undermining authority, their passion as being disruptive."Susan Daniels, PhD & Michael Piechowski, PhD, Authors & Gifted Specialists
Giftedness runs as a thread through everything I do. Many of the people who find their way to me don't arrive saying "I think I'm gifted." They arrive because they feel too much, think too much, care too much, and have spent a lifetime wondering why the world doesn't quite fit.
Giftedness is not a trophy. It is asynchronous development: advanced cognitive abilities combined with heightened intensity that create qualitatively different inner experiences. It brings enormous gifts and very real challenges.
I work with gifted adults, adolescents, and the parents of gifted children. Rather than working directly with young children in isolation, which risks pathologising what is actually a different kind of wiring, I prefer to work with the whole family system, helping parents understand what they are seeing and how to meet their child's true needs.
Gifted individuals are frequently misdiagnosed with ADD/ADHD, OCD, ASD, ODD, or Bipolar Disorder. The characteristics of giftedness (intensity, sensitivity, moral preoccupation, questioning authority) look like pathology when they are not understood in context. Getting the right picture changes everything.
